KARACHI: The alleged killer of Abdullah’s mother has been arrested on highway, police said.
A man named Rizwan who allegedly killed Abdullah’s mother in cold blood has been apprehended by the Karachi police. Abdullah was found stranded on Sea View on the night of May 31 and was brought to Edhi Centre by a man named Faizan. A man named Omar also approached Edhi Center and claimed to be the child’s maternal uncle but the orphanage administration refused to hand over the child.
Later it was discovered that Abdullah’s mother is dead but his step father is alive. On Sunday, his father Chaudhry Iqbal and step-brother Ansar Iqbal reached Edhi centre but apparently the boy had stil not been handed over to them. Bilquis Edhi said that they don’t seem serious in taking Abdullah with them.
Today, another development took place when the police announced that the alleged killer of the boy’s mother had been arrested. Further investigations are underway.
