RAWALPINDI: Minister for Interior Affairs Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan on Saturday said that the opposition should avoid politics of allegations as it was not in the interest of Pakistan.
“They (opposition leaders) wanted to get maximum political mileage out of the Panama Papers leaks,” he said, adding the Terms of References (ToRs) being offered by the opposition in relation to the Panama Papers investigation could only be used for politicking but not for justice.
The government had accepted all proposals of the opposition regarding the Panama Papers investigations with an open heart, he said while addressing a public gathering here in UC-78 Dhoke Munshi in Chaklala Scheme-III. He said that just 24 hours ago, a verdict was given by a court of law in the Hajj corruption case.
But the leaders of an opposition party were making hue and cry and leveling baseless corruption allegations against the PML-N leadership, he said. He said that the PML-N government was following policies to eliminate power load-shedding. For the purpose, it had launched various projects, he said.
The minister announced mega development projects worth Rs 2.5 billion, including 625-bed Children Hospital, Sport Complex, graveyard and other. He said that the Children Hospital would not only provide quality health services to the patients of the district but also for the entire Rawalpindi division.
He said all-out efforts were being made to bring peace and tranquility in the country. The journey of development had started under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. The law and order situation had also improved considerably due to PML-N government’s policies, he added.
He said that everyone knew about the law and order that prevailed in the country three years ago. But now the situation had improved and the country had achieved stability and was moving forward on the path of development, he added.
