ISLAMABAD: Commerce Minister Khurram Dastgir has urged all political parties to address their issues in assemblies instead of playing politics on them.
Opinions on issues such as energy, terrorism and economic policies of the government could be different but all should be resolved through discussion, he said and then added that all national institutions are effectively working for the development and prosperity of the nation.
The minister said that the government has launched several welfare and power projects in the country but not a single case of corruption has surfaced against the PML-N government in the current tenure.
The opposition parties had prepared their Terms of Reference (TORs), a person specific to only target the prime minister, but could not achieve their goals and that’s why they fled the parliamentary committee on Panama Papers, he said.
Khurram Dastgir said, “The Panama leaks only disclosed the names of people who owned offshore companies but the allegations will be proved after an inquiry on the issue.”
